“Tea time is anytime”, states Lisa Boalt Richardson of Lisa Knows Tea. Ms. Richardson is the author of the award-winning book, Tea with a Twist; Entertaining and Cooking with Tea (Harvest House Publishers 2009) and The World in your Teacup: Celebrating Tea Traditions Near and Far (Harvest House Publishers 2010.) Her third tea book Modern Tea (Chronicle Books) which will be out in fall of 2014. She travels the country speaking at conferences and special events focusing on her culinary arts and specialty tea expertise. She has spoken for the World Tea Expo, Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show, Kashi, Emory University, and many other national venues.
Advancing to the highest level of achievement, Lisa is one of the first 15 in the world to graduate from the Specialty Tea Institute (STI) with a “Certified Tea Specialist” title in 2008. She is trained and certified by the Protocol School of Washington in Tea and Etiquette and has served as President of the Southern Association of Tea Businesses. She has also served as an Advisory Board Member for the Specialty Tea Institute under the Education and Certification Committee and been an instructor for STI's certification classes.

on creating new brands, training sales staff, and on strategies to increase customer awareness. In addition,
she teaches training courses for hotels, culinary programs such
as Le Cordon Bleu, tearoom management, and wait staff on proper
service of tea.
As the former President of the Southern Association of Tea Businesses,
Lisa arranged for the association to partner with the 2007 World
Tea Expo to increase visibility and exposure. In 2008, she stayed
on the cutting edge of tea by conducting a “Turning Tea Cuisine
into Green” conference for the SATB.
She has contributed to publications including Cooking with Paula Deen and TeaTime. Her tea expertise and recipes have been featured in numerous national publications such as Real Simple Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, Diabetes Forecast, TeaTime Magazine, and The New York Times.
